About Bill Sorrell

A native of the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, Bill Sorrell has enjoyed a successful career creating imaginative and inspiring visual solutions for such companies as Schumacher, Thibaut, Stroheim, Brunschwig and Fils, Patterson, Flynn & Martin, Whole Foods and Vegetarian Times, to name a few. Bill's design asthetic has become widely coveted, due largely to his keen eye and fresh take on current trends. When asked what his personal style is, Bill states, "eclectic, modern, me... what you see in my work is a window into how I live my life."

Educated at the University of Buffalo, Bill began his career nearly 25 years ago as a design director at Imperial Wallcoverings in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1989, he formed The Sorrell Company, following a move to Virginia. His determination to create a look he could call his own, and an unending willingness to hone his visual knowledge and skills has allowed The Sorrell Company to flourish with an ever-growing list of clients.

His work has appeared in Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, Veranda, Southern Accents, House Beautiful, Traditional Home, Domino, C Magazine, Virginia Living, Whole Foods Magazine and Vegetarian Times, among others.

Bill resides in Richmond, Virginia.
